Private testing · iPhone

Private calls that sound amazing.

For the voices you want to hear and the things you want to share. Auris brings end-to-end encrypted calls and messages together with an identity of your own. No phone number. No email. No contact upload.

Private beta for iPhone. We are refining Auris through TestFlight testing, with a focus on real conversations and changing networks.

Free · No ads · No trackers · Made for iPhone

Calls come first

Adaptive audio, video and connection recovery, built around the network your conversation is on.

No phone number

Your ID is a random string your phone makes up. Invite-only mode restricts discovery to people holding your invitation.

Built for the future

Hybrid key agreement combines classical cryptography with ML-KEM. It is designed with future quantum threats in mind. Explore the security design.

History on your terms

Set a disappearing-message timer and choose what unlocks the history you keep: device unlock, biometrics, a passphrase, or both.

Call quality

Built around the conversation.

Opus forward error correction and loss concealment help handle missing audio packets. Video adapts to available bandwidth, and connection recovery handles changes of network. Performance still depends on the devices and the path between them.

  • HD voice engages by itself when the line can carry it
  • Video steps up and down with measured bandwidth as conditions change
  • Connection recovery attempts to keep calls going across network changes

Identity

An identity that starts with you.

There is no sign-up form. No phone number, no email, no real name, no address book upload. Your phone generates a random Auris ID and holds the private keys that go with it. The display name you pick travels inside the encryption to your contacts, and reaches the service only as encrypted content.

  • Share your ID, or a QR code, with the people you choose
  • Invite only mode answers a lookup for your ID as though it does not exist
  • Verify a contact by comparing safety numbers together

The Auris library

Understand every layer.

Practical guides. Protocol diagrams. Cryptographic foundations. Papers, counterexamples and primary sources. A place to follow the details as far as you want.

Our ambition

Make private communication feel natural.

We are building Auris for closer conversations, a smaller identity footprint and more control over what you share. The private beta is where we put those choices into practice and improve them.
